One of the youngest players ever eligible for the NFL draft, Earl Thomas was picked in the first round of the 2010 draft by the Seattle Seahawks. His path to greatness began long before that draft. A native of Texas, he began to dominate the field early on. In High School he was a three-year starter and All-State selection while attending West Orange-Stark High School.
As a top recruit, Earl chose to go to The University of Texas where, in his Freshman season, he set the school's record for pass breakups with 17. That year, he also had 68 tackles. He went on to become an All-American. Earl opted to take his talents to the NFL after 2 seasons at The University of Texas and hasn't looked back since.
Since joining the NFL, Earl has been an integral part of the Seattle Seahawks defense. He finished his first season with 76 tackles and followed up his next season with 98. His hard work and dedication to the game earned him a nomination for the 2012 Pro Bowl and Second Team All-Pro.
The 2012-13 season was great for both Earl and the Seattle Seahawks team. The team made the playoffs and finished the regular season 11-5. They sent four players to the Pro Bowl including Earl who amassed 66 tackles and 3 interceptions. Earl was selected to the Pro Bowl three times, 2011, 2012, and 2013. And he was an important part of the Super Bowl Champion team in 2013.
Earl does not rest in the off-season as he is back in the gym performing these very exercises!
